Azita Ghanizada

Azita was born in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Azita is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and were granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Her parents raised her sisters who resided living in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on television through appearances on National Commercials. Ghanizada appeared as Chiara in Laura Neri's film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of this performance, she won during the Festival of Cannes for the Best Actress Award. Her TV guest-starring performances are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NUMB3RS bones Psych as well as Castle. Recently, she was in the science fiction-action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedy series by independent filmmakers You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was a part of The General Hospital spinoff General Hospital that was telecast on primetime television. In season 2 Night Shift, she appeared as the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor. Ghanizada was added to HBO Entourage's cast in 2009 and played Kelly.
