Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has appeared in many television shows. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and received refugee status to remain. Her family was born to a young age in Northern Virginia and is the middle child with two older sisters. Ghanizada began her career on television by being featured in National Commercials. Ghanizada was awarded an award for her performance as Chiara who was the lead character in Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. The roles she played on television include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. In recent times, she was in a variety of independent comedies You Only Better and Blood Shot 2009 and the science-fiction action film Blood Shot. Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she was a part of the team for General Hospital. She was cast in the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Nightshift saw Ghanizada play Doctor. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic medicine. In 2009, Ghanizada appeared as Kelly who was a Prada saleswoman in HBO's Entourage and joined the cast of the television series pilot Tough Trade from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan as well as executive producer T Bone Burnett.
