Azita Ghanizada
Azita Ghanizada is the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several television shows. Her birthplace was in Kabul, Afghan. Her parents left for the US where they were granted asylum. Her family raised her with sisters who resided in Northern Virginia. Her career on air began with several National Commercials. For the Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada was the principal character of Chiara the performance of which she received an award for best actress at a film festival nomination. Television guest-starring roles are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells, NUMB3RS bones, Psych and Castle. Recent roles include a role as a support on the show Blood Shot, (2009) which is based on the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada started her acting career in 2008 when she joined the crew of the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada as the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic healing. Ghanizada joined HBO Entourage's crew in 2009, playing Kelly.
